Beloved Books: The Luxury of Space
For some reason, I've held off on posting about this one because I wanted to find the perfect thing to say about it. But I can't, except it is one of my favorite books. Oberto Gili is amazing and I think it is the personal sincerity of this book that touches me.

Beloved Books: Garden Anywhere
I really love Garden Anywhere by Alys Fowler (although I do wish her last name was Flower). I picked it up last fall at Anthropologie, home of all things adorable, and just love the super DIY feel of the book. The paper is super matte - almost rough, all the photos are gorgeous but not over-thought, typography is lovely, and I love Alys' crazy cool hippie outfits!

Beloved Books: Photo Trouvée
Photo Trouvée is a collection of found photographs with no story or explanation, except the understanding that someone somewhere was compelled to take that photograph at that moment. The concept for the book is similar to how I like to see the world - finding beauty & art everywhere, and the idea that everyone is an artist. Beautiful book!

Beloved Books: Arm in Arm by Remy Charlip
I'm excited to present a rubric to my blog: Beloved Books. I have so many treasured books that I want to share. This weekend, I spent Saturday afternoon photographing the covers and some spreads of my favorite books. By no means am I the best book-photographer, but I hope you enjoy!
Today jewel is Arm in Arm by Remy Charlip. It's compiled of silly, goofy short poems & stories, and wonderful little illustrations. It would make a great gift for children, or any child-like adult :) I think the best place to look for this would be e-bay.
